Asean RetailEX 2018: Telpo Smart Cash Registers Debut In Thailand Retail Show

In 19th September, the Asean RetailEx 2018 kicked off in the Bangkok, Thailand, with the theme of “Transforming the ASEAN Retail Landscape”. Telpo landed in the Thailand retail show with the smart cash register machine and the cashier system.

As an important member of ASEAN, Thailand has a population of 68.86 million (according to the 2016 report). Bangkok is the main area for new retail because of its high Internet penetration, better logistics, and financial infrastructure. However, the digitalization of Thailand is still relatively backward, and it is a market with potential for smart retail and e-commerce development. In 2017, Alibaba, Amazon and other companies have invested in Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand.

New retail waves such as artificial intelligence, smart retail, unbounded retail, and unattended retail have also affected the Thailand show. More than 200 exhibitors from around the world presented visitors with a variety of new smart retail terminals, such as the self-service vending machine, self-service ordering machine.
