AI Security | Korea Install AI Cameras For Crime Detection

As Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly mature nowadays, all walks of life could see their appearance and unique application.

Talking to AI camera, Seocho District of Seoul and the Electronics Telecommunications Research Institute (ERTI) announced their plans to install 3,000 AI cameras for crime detection recently. It is reported that AI cameras will utilize AI software to process the location, time and behavior patterns of citizens in an effort to measure the likelihood of a crime taking place.

It seems that police apply AI technology to their law enforcement and have gradually become a norm. Earlier, two Welsh police forces, South Wales Police and Gwent Police adopted one of AI technology, namely ground-breaking fingerprint to identify people on the street. Police will be given a fingerprint scanner that already matched people’s fingerprints databases in the police office.

At the 2018 Beijing Expo, nearly all cameras evolve into AI cameras. Face recognition, vehicle recognition, video structure and big data shingly show at the DEMO presentation.
