The registered name change — effective January 5, 2026 — replaces “Information Technology” with “Technology” in Chinese and “Communication” with “Technology” in English, aligning the company’s legal identity with the global Telpo brand and its AI-hardware strategy.

Telpo has completed its corporate renaming. The company formerly registered as Telepower Communication Co., Ltd. (广东天波信息技术股份有限公司) now operates as Telpo Technology Co., Ltd. (广东天波科技股份有限公司), effective January 5, 2026.

What the New Name Means
The Infrastructure Behind the New Name
The renaming formalises an upgrade already completed in brick and mortar. In October 2025, Telpo inaugurated its new global headquarters in Nanhai District, Foshan — an 87-meter, 17-floor campus of approximately 45,000 square meters built for R&D, manufacturing, testing, and operations.
Its core is a CNAS-recognized laboratory complex of roughly 900 square meters across 12 test zones, including an OTA anechoic chamber, EMC shielded room, mechanical durability lab, and optical darkroom. Automated SMT production lines run with real-time quality dashboards tracking defect rates at individual workstations, supported by an intelligent warehouse with robotic sorting. Devices are stress-screened from -20°C to +60°C and verified against EMV, NFC, and QR payment protocols. Annual capacity: approximately two million units.
The same campus houses a library, fitness facilities, outdoor sports courts, a children’s playroom, and mother-infant care rooms. The reasoning is straightforward: innovation comes from people, and teams that feel valued build better hardware.
The Value Behind the Name
The renaming follows the company’s founding value — 以无私成其私: by acting without self-interest, one’s own ends are fulfilled.
Telpo calls this its paddle culture (船桨文化): a boat moves fastest when every paddle rows without counting its own strokes, and the boat’s victory belongs to every paddler. The working principle follows naturally — achieve the team, and the team will achieve you.
A Track Record Behind the New Name
The company behind the new name remains the same. Telpo employs approximately 600 people, including a 200-engineer R&D team, and serves more than 20,000 enterprise clients across over 100 countries. It is a national high-tech enterprise and a national-level “Little Giant” enterprise — China’s designation for specialized, refined SMEs. Its client base combines international brands such as MTN, Vodafone, Burger King, 7-Eleven, Alipay, and Bank of China with China’s leading internet platforms in search, e-commerce, local services, and logistics, major state-owned banks, and national energy groups.
“The name on the license has changed. Everything behind it — the people, the products, the standards — has not,” said a Telpo manager. “This change puts our legal name in step with the Telpo brand our partners already know, and with the technology company we have become.”
What Partners Need to Do
Nothing urgent. “Telpo” remains the global product and marketing brand; only the registered legal entity name has changed. Product model numbers, certifications, warranty terms, and contractual obligations continue unchanged. Ownership, management, and operations remain unchanged — the renaming is a legal and strategic update only.
