Telpo and PT Sepakat Teknologi Nusantara Introduce EFIS TPS900 KTP Elektronik Reader for Indonesia

JAKARTA, Indonesia — Telpo and PT Sepakat Teknologi Nusantara have jointly developed an integrated pembaca ktp elektronik solution based on the Telpo TPS900 EFTPOS terminal for the Indonesian market.
The solution combines e-KTP Elektronik reading, fingerprint biometrics, smart card and contactless technology, Android applications, connectivity, and payment terminal capabilities in a single device. For the Indonesian market, the Telpo TPS900 equipped with the integrated pembaca ktp module will be marketed under the product name EFIS TPS900.

A Certified KTP Elektronik Reader for Banking and Beyond

The EFIS TPS900 is a unified Android-based platform that combines pembaca ktp elektronik capability, fingerprint biometrics, smart-card and contactless technology, and payment-terminal functions in a single device — developed and certified specifically for the Indonesian market under the product collaboration between Telpo and PT Sepakat Teknologi Nusantara.
The underlying hardware platform is the Telpo TPS900 EFTPOS terminal, a proven bank POS machine with an established deployment record across financial and identity verification environments. For the Indonesian market, PT Sepakat Teknologi Nusantara has integrated the pembaca ktp module and completed the full suite of Indonesian regulatory certifications, resulting in the EFIS TPS900 as a locally adapted, market-ready product.

What the EFIS TPS900 Handles in a Single Device

  • E-KTP Elektronik reading — electronic national ID card data capture for identity verification and onboarding
  • Fingerprint biometrics — capture and verification for e-KYC and secure authentication workflows
  • Smart card and NFC contactless — multi-credential reading supporting both contact and contactless verification
  • Magnetic card acceptance — full payment card compatibility
  • Integrated printing — on-device receipt and document output
  • Multiple connectivity options — LTE/WCDMA/GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LAN, and USB for flexible deployment across branch, field, and remote service environments
  • Android application platform — customizable and integrable with existing backend systems, APIs, and enterprise platforms
This combination makes the EFIS TPS900 POS suitable for e-KYC Indonesia onboarding, customer identity verification, branch payment services, and field banking operations — without requiring separate hardware at each service point.

Key Certifications That Confirm Market Readiness

The EFIS TPS900 POS has completed five Indonesian regulatory certifications, collectively covering payment ecosystem readiness, cybersecurity compliance, telecommunications standards, biometric compatibility, and local content requirements.
For procurement teams in banking, government, and financial services, these certifications are not supplementary credentials — they are the formal evidence that a biometric payment terminal has been independently assessed and approved for deployment in Indonesia’s regulated environments.
  • NSICCS — National Standard Indonesian Chip Card Specification Administered by ASPI (Asosiasi Sistem Pembayaran Indonesia) and developed by Bank Indonesia, NSICCS is the mandatory chip card standard for ATM and debit card devices operating in Indonesia’s payment ecosystem. NSICCS certification confirms the EFIS TPS900 meets Indonesia’s payment security and interoperability requirements — a prerequisite for deployment at any point that processes domestic card transactions.
  • POSTEL/SDPPI — Telecommunications Device Certification Issued by Indonesia’s Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure (formerly SDPPI), POSTEL certification confirms the device meets the technical safety and radio frequency standards required for telecommunications-enabled devices sold and operated in Indonesia. This certification is mandatory for any device with wireless connectivity — covering the EFIS TPS900’s LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth capabilities.
  • BRIN — National Research and Innovation Agency Testing BRIN testing confirms compatibility of the EFIS TPS900 with Indonesia’s KTP Elektronik ecosystem and biometric verification requirements. As Indonesia’s cabinet-level national research agency, BRIN’s assessment provides authoritative confirmation that the pembaca ktp elektronik functions reliably within the electronic identity infrastructure that Indonesian government agencies and financial institutions depend on.
  • BSSN — National Cyber and Encryption Agency Assessment BSSN is Indonesia’s government authority for cybersecurity and data encryption. BSSN assessment provides assurance that the software and system security architecture of the EFIS TPS900 meets the standards required for devices handling sensitive identity, biometric, and financial data. For banks and financial institutions with regulatory obligations around data protection, BSSN assessment is a meaningful compliance signal.
  • TKDN — Domestic Component Level Certification Issued by Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry, TKDN certification verifies the local content contribution of the EFIS TPS900 — a requirement for products participating in government procurement and public sector deployments. TKDN certification strengthens the EFIS TPS900’s competitive position in government tenders and public-sector banking programs where local content thresholds apply.

Expanding Beyond Banking: Who Else Benefits from a Pembaca KTP Elektronik

While banking is expected to be the primary market, the EFIS TPS900 can also be used by fintech companies, insurance providers, healthcare organizations, telecommunications companies, government services, cooperatives, retail businesses, financing companies, and other organizations requiring reliable identity verification.
For any organization currently operating a standalone pembaca KTP elektronik alongside a separate payment terminal, the EFIS TPS900 offers a consolidated alternative — reducing hardware complexity while maintaining the biometric and identity verification capability that regulated workflows require.
Its Android-based architecture allows applications to be customized and integrated with existing backend systems, APIs, and enterprise platforms. The TPS900 platform supports LTE/WCDMA/GPRS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LAN, and USB connectivity, providing flexibility for different deployment environments.

Supporting Indonesia’s Digital Transformation

With integrated pembaca KTP capability, fingerprint biometrics, Android applications, payment functionality, and Indonesian certifications, the EFIS TPS900 provides organizations with a more streamlined platform for digital identity verification and transaction services.
The collaboration between Telpo and PT Sepakat Teknologi Nusantara represents another step toward providing locally adapted technology that supports the continued development of e-KYC, digital banking, and identity-based services in Indonesia.
