According to the data in findmymarathon.com, 778 marathons are scheduled in the United States and Canada in 2019.  718 of these are in the U.S. and 58 in Canada. The holiday season may technically be over, marathon races are held one by one. Infrequent marathons, how to efficiently and accurately verify the IDs of marathon participants and ensure the smooth progress of the marathon is a crucial problem for the organizer.

In the general marathon competition, participants need to submit their individual information several months in advance, including personal ID information and personal medical report. The organizer prepares for the pre-match according to the collected information. The organizer will issue the participant's number plate a few days in advance or on the day of the event, so they need to confirm the player's information. 

In previous, the staff in the marathon performed ID verification one by one. However, the number of marathon runners is increasing. There are nearly 20,000 participants in this project. The organizer needs to verify a large number of contestants before the race. How to do it?

Telpo undertook the marathon project and proposed a solution for the marathon ticket verification -- TPS650 face recognition + ID card recognition. This solution is based on the information collected by the marathon in the early stage and Telpo's technical advantages in biometric technology.

Two main problems need to solve in the project:

1. Using eyes to compare the ID card and the contestants is low accuracy;

2. The workforce is insufficient. The limited staff cannot check a large number of participants within the specified time.
