Telpo added HID card in star product-superior temperature detection TPS980T.

The leading and innovative high-tech company with 21-year biometric experience, Telpo added HID card as one safe and reliable identity method in its star product-superior temperature detection TPS980T.

What Is HID Card?

HID card, also called proximity cards or access control card, which mainly use RFID embedded technology. It is the representative product of HID global corporation, a worldwide leader in proximity card and access control. Nowadays, HID card are widely used in access control, public transportation, employee ID, etc.

How Do HID Card Work?

There is a RFID (radio frequency identification) chip and an internal antenna inside the HID card. With encryption technology, each card has unique encoded information. It will fail to be read until the antenna receives that frequency and exchange encoded information to the HID card reader.

If the reader recognize successfully, the door will open automatically. Nowadays, there are two mainly radio bands that HID card run, one is 125kHz (low-frequency), another is 13.56MHz (high-frequency).

What Is The Difference Between HID Card And Smart Card?

The biggest difference between HID card and the smart card is contact or not. HID card can non-contact exchange its encoded information to the reader, while smart card must contact with the reader to be identified. Besides, smart card will store the information in the small microprocessor embedded inside the chip.

Why Use HID Card?

Among all access control cards, HID card is the most flexible and secure one. They are simple to use and are compatible with all HID proximity card readers. Furthermore, HID card can not only be used in access control in office buildings, campuses, schools, office buildings, but also applied in biometric authentication, cashless vending, public transportation ticketing, loyalty programs and so on scenes.
